Director of Photography
Myeongje Kim

This work is an advertisement of WAVVE, Korea's Internet-based Over The Top Service (OTT) service.

The director wanted to express that WAVVE enables people to see Contents that everyone sympathizes with beyond the time and age. So, he told me that I wanted to make this video with a one-take technique that looks like a cut without dividing the cut.
If it was a set, I would use Techno-crane, MCC, Robot-arm, but I couldn't do it in real space, so I had to worry a lot about camera walking with one-take technique in real location.

I had thought of gimbal equipment like Movi because of the narrow location, but I needed a sophisticated Tilt and Pan, so I decided to use the GF-Jib and Flighthead Mini. I usually knew the excellent stabilizer function and remote performance when using Russian Arm, and the other stabilizer head was too heavy for the GF-Jib to use, so the FlightHead Mini was the best fit.

The director told me that it would be a good idea to express the feeling of the 90's in color correction or whether it would be good to make a difference with lighting and lenses when shooting. Usually, I really try to express the colors and textures that best fit the concept of my work from the original shooting.

After testing a few lenses, I decided that the Cooke Panchro Classic would work best for my work.

In general, if you express past or analogue sensibility, you may think that you should choose a lens that has yellow or orange tone. But with Cooke Panchro Classic, rather than Leica lens or Cooke s4i lens, Blue or Jade tone With it, it may look heavy and cold. However, if I create a highlight color with lighting of yellow or orange tones on a lens with such a tone, my thought was that it will feel like a film-photography of the past.
