This is the fourth music video I shoted for Red Velvet. Red velvet is Korea's leading female idol group.
This video contains the happening when artists create bubbles in a hypothetical bubble factory.
The director of this video is who worked with me on NCT127's "Regular" music video.
When the director explained the concept of this video to me, he explained the various interesting situations in miniature and minimalism space.
When the director and I worked together on the previous commercial film, the main set was open space, but because we were able to shot more scene than we thought, we shared the idea that this music video would also be an open type set.
Since there are five members of Red Velvet, we shared the idea that I would like to shoot five individual spaces in one open type set
Among the contents of this music video were scene that Red Velvet were synthesized at the ratio of miniature props rather than actual proportions.
I thought these scenes were not very much part of the music video, but they were very important in shaping the world of this video.
So I shoted the composition of the miniature props and set first, then shoted the Artist in line with its frame.
These synthesized scenes were well expressed in the final version and were good for forming the world view of this music video.
The miniature props were shoted using a Periscope lens. And utilized the Image Capture function and the Image Overlay function of the SmallHD monitor. The functions of the SmallHD monitor are very useful for shoting these composite scenes.
This music video uses Master Prime Lens and Alexa Mini.
I thought this music video should have minimal distortion and a clean and crisp feel, and the Master Prime Lens fit it.
