This Ad shot on Alexa mini and Hawk's Vantage One lens. Vantage One lenses are not designed as aspherical, so there is a little more lens distortion compared to the same focal length of other lenses, but because of that, it expresses the subject more voluptuously than them. In addition, it expresses the middle tone and shadow tone with a sense of weight, and I think it is also excellent for expressing the skin tone.
The place shown at the beginning of this video is a retro Korean street with bars and restaurants that are common in Korea. It is not colorful here, but there are various light sources. So there wasn't under-exposure even if we didn't have to do ambient-light that spoils the naturalness at night.
I tried not to spoil the lighting mood of this place as much as possible. The portrait light was just LED lights carried by Lighting Crew to light up Lia Kim, and Red purple, Tiffany Blue or Cyan color lights were set up all over the street to express the retro mood little more modern and richly.
It rained intermittently when we shot this street. So, it was a difficult environment to shoot, but the street naturally wet down due to rain, so the effect of the actual light source and the lighting we set was maximized, so I was satisfied.
The director wanted the lights at the club where Lia Kim and her crew performed to be expressed in much more modern and colorful ways, different from retro-style streets. I expressed the club's main color in the space by setting the same blue and green as the color of the liquor products we advertise, and emphasized the colors through the light of their complementary colors, oranges and red purple.
